The more quieter you want your rooms to be, the more money you will have to invest. And it is much easier to soundproof your home if you are in the middle of construction, because you have a lot more efficient options.

Let’s take a quick look at what you can use to reduce outside noise:

  • Install a second wall beside your current walls. You can add an insulation material between these two walls then. Or you can only add some insulation clips so the walls will be separated for about half an inch. These free space will absorb outside noise.
  • Soundproof paint is a great way to insulate and soundproof all your rooms. You can find these in many stores and install them with ease.
  • Carpets, curtains and rugs can help you reduce the noise as well. Although you thing this doesn’t help, try removing all the furnishings from one of your rooms and see what happens.
  • Installing wall sheets between two layers of drywall is a great way to block the noise from the outside and from other rooms as well.
